2007: ISTI the third

Our sponsors challenged the 2007 team to step it up and the team responded. The team grew to 38 students who actively participated on the team. The team leader, Tasha, decided that our robot should be simple in design and all components should be accessible for repair.

The robot came in under 20 lbs. and weight had to be added to the robot before the competition. Once again, the team was able to score in autonomous mode. The team finished ninth in the competition and became an alliance captain. They were not able to make it out of the quarter finals.

The team took pride in the quality of the robot. After each round of the competition, the team was able to relax as they did not have to repair the robot one time. A lot of teams asked about the robots' simple design and the arm and gripper function.

The highlight of the year was hearing the teams' number and name for the Judges' award. The team had won the Judges Award for the design of the robot.
